As it Goes
Sorry I haven’t written anything lately. Life has been extremely hectic, which is sometimes good, and sometimes not.
I attempted to translate a web site for someone in Quebec, and unfortunately I failed. Both at accomplishing it at the speed he needed, and also because my bilingualism is not up to snuff. It hurt, and I felt pretty bad for a day, but I’ll get over it. I don’t seem to be able to say no when someone asks me to do something.
What is going on? I’m preparing for an art show on June 7th. I’m trying to get some or most of my artwork scanned and ready to print. I’m also trying to get anything that is unframed, framed. I’m also hosting my Uncle Ed for this event and wanting to arrange appropriate dinners etc. for when he arrives. I will also have my Mom stay over at our house, for a night or two.
Teaching is starting to slow down somewhat, (piano and art), however I’m needed more at the art gallery (VISAC), and at the clothing store.
I have just sold a painting, and working on another. Today, I also did a sketch of my young art student, Kalais, and it’s quite lovely. Eventually, I will frame it and give it to his Mom at an appropriate time.
I have a very good friend who is living with HIV AIDs. She is an amazing survivor. I’m proud of her strength and ability. She will be offering seminars and talks to High Schools and various Social Work Agencies on how to prevent what has happened to her. She is very excited about the opportunity to reach out and help our youth. All hands raised and cheers sent to Michelle.
