It’s Been a While….
Hi to all. I haven’t been in the frame of mind to write lately, as much has been happening in this world of mine.
Breast Cancer has certainly changed my view of life, and thankfully, I’m one of the lucky ones that was caught and treated early. I’m now an ardent supporter of breast cancer fund raising endeavors, and you’ll find me marching proudly down the streets of the small town I live in, Trail, BC, wearing pink EVERYTHING to announce my support.
I recently had a breast reconstruction, after nearly a year and a half of pondering, and a breast reduction on my ‘good’ side to help balance me and perhaps help my spinal problems.
I went into this with a hugely positive attitude, and I’m on the other side of recovery now.
This process has shifted my thinking and understanding of illness in many ways. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to express this adequately, but I’ll try.
Gratefulness; I’m truly grateful that this was caught early. Be assiduous in getting your mammograms done, yearly. Even you guys, if it is found in your family.
Acknowledgment; We really are here for a short amount of time, and yes, it can happen to you.
Grace; Love of life, and a true desire to extend that love to all you touch.
Compassion; for the ones I’ve lost, and to their loved ones left to mourn. Sometimes, there just aren’t any words to express the sadness.
Hope; that the Universe will cradle us all in our journeys.
I’m glad to be here.

Thank you Dougie, my heart and my thoughts are with you and will always be.The time in the Light, as you know, is too short, and we should all treasure that which we take for granted. Goddess and God Bless.

Indeed. Life IS short. I’m glad you’re here and I KNOW Dougie is too. Treasure the time in the Light. It can be shorter than you know.
